      Interview

Proceed with caution with these people. They will try to get as much free work as they can from you and hold off the salary issue as long as they can. As an applicant, I recommend that you protect yourself by making sure that issue is settled before you spend a second on any of their "projects."

Our marketing interview process starts with a telephonic interview to understand high level fit and skill sets. If there's a fit, then we bring the candidate on-site for an in-person interview with the founder, head of marketing and design/front end. At the on-site interview we try to determine the candidate's in-depth knowledge and experience with digital marketing, content marketing through past projects, companies, culture fit, communication skills etc. If there is a fit, then we offer a short marketing campaign test mainly trying to understand the candidates approach and though process with building content, specifically around content marketing for brands. This campaign is a standard one handed out to candidates that make it to this level and by no means used for getting a project done for free. I doubt any company does that. As a startup, the cost of a bad hire is very crucial for us, hence with our interview process we try to reduce margin of error and not only understand the fit from a skill sets perspective but also overall approach to brand marketing, attitude, culture fit, appetite for passion etc,
