Be simple if you know the algorithm just tell that atleast. If you know a harder way to solve that a simpler one go for the harder one cause then they will say "you could have just done this simple thing". At that moment you can say "I went for the hard way so that I can convey I know easy way too". BUT please be right with the harder technique otherwise go for simple one or else it may backfire.
