Bausch + Lomb interview questions

Very quick, probably a week between first and second round. First round with hiring manager and second was directors. After first round I was seeing red flags as the interviewer was really abrupt, patronising and kept saying you’re obviously nervous - I wasn’t. Second round was great I had good rapport with the directors and was brought in by the hiring manager who again asked if I’m nervous. Was offered role the evening of the second interview but on condition of 2 pharma references which I couldn’t supply due to former employee policy (hr provide a statement of dates and role held). When suggested I give other references these were refused and told this isn’t good. I turned the role down as the hiring manager was clearly unable to make a decision, really inflexible and thought if it’s like this for references what will it be like to work under her. Also told there’s a hiring freeze hence 12 month role but a week after interviewing 1st round a position came up under same dept.
