Bellhop interview questions

In early May 2024, the HR team reached out to me via LinkedIn for an initial interview. Following that, I had a second interview with two members of the marketing team. Subsequently, I was asked to complete a detailed take-home assignment with over 20 questions, which took me approximately 15 hours to finish. A few hours after presenting the assignment, I was informed that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. Despite this, they are still actively seeking a Demand Generation Manager. This ongoing search makes me wonder if they are using candidates to obtain free work without a genuine intention to hire.

The initial interview was 45 minutes. I asked the interviewer what the remaining interview process looked like and it was unclear at the moment. The interviewer seemed to be overwhelmed with the amount of candidates that were in the pipeline.
