I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bending Spoons (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
1. Online Assessments (3 rounds, ~6 hours total)
• Mix of maths and statistics problems
• Some pseudocode questions, including bitwise operations
• No DSA or algorithm prep required
• Fair but time-consuming
2. Application Materials
• Required to submit written application questions, a cover letter, and a 3-minute presentation recording
• Felt a bit over the top for an early-stage process
• After completing this stage, they give you $30 to donate to a charity of your choice as a thank-you
3. First Interview (HR-focused, 1 hour)
• Mostly behavioural and motivational questions:
• Why Bending Spoons
• Why impact matters to you
• Long-term goals
• “At 80, what would make your career successful?”
• Weaknesses
• Ends with a short 5-minute maths/stats brainteaser
4. Final Interview (HR + Problem Solving)
• Half behavioural, half analytical
• One more maths brainteaser
• One basic data-science-style A/B testing case
Outcome:
I didn’t progress past the final interview, mainly because other candidates performed better on the problem-solving tasks. The process was competitive and well structured, with a strong emphasis on clarity of reasoning rather than coding. They do give you a product voucher for Remini to thank you for your time at the end.

Interview
The first round consisted of coding, maths and personality assessments. The difficult was acceptable and the hiring manager was helpful during this process. They give you two weeks to complete all assessments, and the option to extend the deadline for an additional two weeks

Interview
Very interactive and provides support every step of the way. You're able to ask for extended deadlines, and they have support for those who have disabilities or are neurodivergent. They look at your cv and have to first past initial screening process, i.e. valid experience. Having a GitHub portfolio with projects are ideal.

Interview
First I did First Ascent in 2024, for which I had to do some assignments (~3 hours in total) and 1 behavioral interview.
After that my process was fast-tracked and had 2 interviews - one with behavioral questions and easy riddles, another one with system design. The system design interview was by far the hardest.
Also they required 3 referrals and were talking to each of them.
