I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at BigCommerce (Austin, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
Afterbeing called with an over the phone interview, they had me go through a prescreening process involving creating a website through bigcommerce. It took most of my weekend to make sure I got it right. After submitting, I never heard back from them. I had to call them to find out I did not pass. What a complete waste of my time!!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Create a website following their prescreen guidlines.
I applied online. I interviewed at BigCommerce (Austin, TX) in Mar 2017
Interview
The best interview experience I've had thus far.
1. Phone screen- HR rep, personality screening, a couple of technical questions (are you familiar with HTML, CSS, knowledge is not needed but good to have, do you know what DNS is and how it works, etc)
2. Build a web store-The more time you spend on this the better it will be, but don't take too long. I spent a few (3ish) evenings working on it and it seemed to do well. Double check the list of requirements they give you before submitting**
3. On-site interview, personality (get to know you) then technical questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BigCommerce (Austin, TX) in Sept 2016
Interview
There was a 3 step interview process 1)Phone screening 2)Technical exam 3)In-person interview
I received the offer 30 minutes after the in-person interview
The in-person interview was 2 30 minute halves, and I was able to meet the managers and look at the office during that time
