      Designer Interview

      17 Jan 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irvine, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bio Essence (Irvine, CA) in Jan 2020

      Interview

I applied online and had my first interview and I thought it went well. There was a red flag like how the managers mentioned that they have gone through many designers so the owner wanted someone part-time. Why were the previous designers leaving? During the second interview it all made sense. I met the owner and I could tell she did not like me. She was rude in the questions she asked and she never once smiled even after I tried my hardest to be friendly. She described the job and honestly, it requires more than one person to do it. They want a designer, editor and photographer all in one for 2 different brands. The second interview was very short and I was told I would hear back the following week. I heard back the same day they hired someone else. Honestly so happy I didn't get it after reading the Glassdoor reviews, the company sounds like a nightmare.
