I interviewed for the Genomics platform. I could feel the team dynamics were a bit tense, and honestly, I don't think the leadership on this team is the best. I felt like most (not all) of the people I interviewed with had something to prove and did not like the way they came across interviewing me. Not the most pleasant interview experience especially when I talked with leadership, which usually reflects bad team dynamics or bad leadership.

Question 1
What specifically do you remember about your findings for this one research project?
Asked me to create a presentation of the most prominent research experiences I had and present to project manager. Then a followup call with hiring manager. Then an in person day interview.
The recruitment process seems to be flawed and lacking in clarity. Hiring tends to favor those already within the organization or individuals with existing relationships, while job listings remain active for long periods. In cases where interviews are conducted, the interviewers often seem uninterested, suggesting that the process is merely a procedural requirement for HR rather than a genuine attempt to assess candidates. Without connections, you may find the process unproductive and not worth the time.
