This was the worst organized interview process. I applied for Java Engineer position, travelled six hours to reach SFO office and they had misread the resume and were looking for Sybase developer with little Java skills. I asked the manager (my first interview with her) - "Where does Java technology fit in all the workflow that you are talking about?" And her reply was - "Oh..I don't know, you might want to talk to the other developers who will talk to you". Really?! You are the hiring manager and you don't know the skillset you are looking for? The other "developers" walk in to interview and ask me to write an ER diagram for a class/student/teacher scenario. I appraise them of my background and start talking class diagram etc. and one of them - "I know you have Java skills but we want to do this as ER diagram". Finally, I give up and walk out of this interview, call the recruiter give her an earful for having wasted my time and money.
