I applied online. I interviewed at Blackbridge Communications in Dec 2025
Interview
The interview process started positively but became disappointing at the final stage.
The process included:
An initial call with the internal talent team (11/12)
A first remote interview with the team (17/12)
After this, there was a pause over the Christmas break while the team was off. I was then invited to a second interview scheduled for Thursday 08/01, which was proposed by the company.
Ahead of this final stage, I was asked to complete several tasks:
A personality test
A proofreading exercise on a presentation
Preparation of a project presentation
These exercises required a significant time investment (around 5 hours in total).
Unfortunately, the interview was cancelled approximately 24 hours beforehand, with no opportunity to present the work prepared and no detailed feedback provided. I was just informed that "other candidates were already at a more advanced stage3, despite the second interview having been scheduled by the company and they pîcked a late date, at that point in the process.
While everyone I interacted with was polite and professional, the overall experience felt poorly timed and frustrating given the level of preparation required so late in the process. Clearer communication and more consideration for candidates’ time would have made this a much fairer experience.

Question 1
to do 3 exercices, spending time preparing to cancel last minute
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Blackbridge Communications (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
Informal, but thorough. Interviewed first with my line manager, then a board member. But never felt like they were attempting to catch you out. Simply wanted to get to the bottom of your various experiences.

Question 1
What's one change you would implement in an agency environment to raise quality of work / stakeholder engagement?
There was good communication throughout the process and timelines were clear.
It was friendly through out and the whole experience was enjoyable. The interview itself was relaxed and informal. It felt like a chat!
