I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Princeton, NJ) in Mar 2018
Interview
Initially I was asked to do a pre-recorded video interview to help Bloomberg get to know me. After passing that stage I was invited to attend a Super Day at the campus to which I applied for in-person interviewing. My Super Day was split into 3 stages, each lasting about 30-60 minutes: programming skills multiple choice test, conducting a debate with fellow applicants (to test interpersonal teamwork skills), and an interview with a data analyst about how to use technology to explore and curate financial datasets.
The interview wasn't well designed.
We were supposed to have 1 hour interview but I guess some main questions were left til the very end and we did not have enough time to cover those questions.
I rushed through their questions because I was busy that day. The interviewer did ask me if I wanted to stay and discuss more but I really couldn't.
So we were both left unsatisfied. I couldn't answer as well as I could, and I may appear as uninterested as I simply did not have the extra time for them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They gave a bunch of terminologies such as VWAP, market depth, order book etc and asked me to explain.
Not difficult but I had like 30 secs or less to answer each as we were running out of time.
Only took the video interview. There were 5 behavioral questions that you have time to prepare. Mainly focusing on your understanding of the company, why this position, and the relevant experiences that would make you a good candidate.

Question 1
Self-introduction and motivation.
Describe a data project you’ve worked on and the challenge you faced.
it was very quick. I got offer in less than a month. The interviewer was fine but later experience in the team was bad. Specifically ask what team you will get in.
