I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
Talked to them at the career fair. Told them I've never gotten a response back after applying there every year, so they scheduled me right away for an on campus interview. 2 on 1, went well. Immediately scheduled for another on campus interview 2 days later. That went well, immediately scheduled an on site for the following week. On site was great. Had a chat with a manager, including a pretty hard question, but he pointed me in the right direction. HR asked for expected salary, to which I responded with the GlassDoor average, along with the typical behavioral questions. Overall really liked the experience. Every person I talked to was extremely gracious and down to earth. It seems like that shouldn't be a lot to ask for, but you'd be surprised how many companies are full of rude, unprepared people, so I really appreciated the people I met at Bloomberg. Excited to start my career here!

Question 1
Set neighbors to the right for each node in a binary tree.
Get average from a bunch of unsorted numbers spread across multiple servers. Then describe how you'd make a function that returns true or false for whether a number is the median. Then finally get the median (no sorting allowed). This problem was by far the hardest, but he gave me a couple small hints that got me going.
15 minutes talking about resume, 45 minutes for 2 medium leetcode style coding questions (using code share), the interviewer was very friendly and communication is even more important than passing all test cases.
Overall, it was a positive and professional interview experience, though the interviewer was on the stricter side. Unfortunately, I was dealing with an illness and wasn't able to prepare as thoroughly as I wanted to, which left me feeling a bit off throughout the conversation. Despite not feeling my best and facing a tough interviewer, the process was well-structured.
Fairly simple. Phone call then onsite. For onsite it was 10 min office tour follow by 1 hr interview then 1 hours system design and 30 mins manager interview. Interviewers were nice and the recruiter was accommodating.
