After the first interview as a tutor they send you an email to get your Tutoring Standards Certificate . It costs £26.50
It says in the email:
" To do this please go to Tutoring Standards, register and book a Professional Tutoring Certificate assessment. They will be aware that you are applying to be a Blue Tutor, and will let us know once you have passed your assessment."
I don't think it is legit.
I have been working with more tutoring agencies and no one asked me about it.
Fairly informal and relaxed. Discussed the information that they asked me to read prior and asked why I wanted to be a tutor. As long as you read and take note of the information you should be fine.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Tutors in Jul 2024
Interview
Standard motivation, competency etc.
Direct questions on their pedagogy so read this beforehand and reflect on how your current lessons could be improved by implementing the criteria. General questions at the end, very easy to approach interviewer.
