The interview consists of a brief phone call where they ask about previous experience and why you think you'd be a good fit for the position. If you're selected, there is a 5-day straight training seminar where you go out into the field and demonstrate your physical health, mental vigor, and readiness for the job. This is an extremely physically demanding job, so if you aren't up for eating camp food (dehydrated rice, beans, lentils) or if you have dietary restrictions, this may be an extremely uncomfortable position. That being said, as a person with ulcerative colitis who can't eat dairy, gluten, treated meats, etc. I was able to get by, just in a lot of pain and with frequent flare ups.
