      C# Developer Interview

      1 Jun 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Gurgaon, Haryana
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BlueStacks (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2019

      Interview

The most unprofessional interview process I have ever seen. Let me explain why I am calling it unprofessional, I have 4 years of experience as C# developer. I got a call from some mediator agency. Role was basically for a WPF developer. I had done some work there not that I am saying I am expert here but absolutely I am not worst here.(PS:I truly respect their decision of not hiring me I am just not happy the way it happened) First part was an assignment to create a WPF application. I did the first part and was on for second round which was basically a telephonic interview with someone. The concerned person asked me about what work or projects I have done till now. Since current company is my second company I had a lot to share on my experience. Then he asked me some questions about WPF like some basics and difference between bubbling and tunneling(3-4 questions I guess) I guess some of my answers were not satisfactory enough. Then he asked lot of questions about SQL Server(6-7 almost) like about Filtered tables,ACID properties and all which I mostly answered. At the end of the interview he told me to ask any questions to him so I asked him about the company(mostly he had good to say about it). Then out of blue he told me that he is from the same college as mine which was truly unexpected and also the same batch pass out and of course having same year of experience the only difference was he was from B.Tech and I was from M.Tech(PS I never asked about any personal piece of information he only enlightened me and I never knew him in personal prior to the interview process) I am not judging a person by experience but I don't feel its fair on part of any organisation to let a person of the same experience same college and same pass out year (ofcourse in different degrees)to give judgement on other person's performance. I know it doesn't matter but it raises questions as an interview candidate about the transparency followed here as people taking interview had complete information. (PS In the past I have always been interviewed by mostly senior people like Leads or Managers or Senior Managers with good amount of experience) After the interview was done within 1 or 2 hours or so I got the feedback from the mediator agency which was a forwarded mail about my rejection written in a very demeaning manner by the same person. I have given so many interviews in my career never have I seen such sort of nonprofessional process.
