I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Blueground in Nov 2021
Interview
1st phase was a phone /virtual interview because the company is based in Greece. Then 2 more virtual interviews are expected if you move through.
A recruiter reached out to me via Linkedin. She said I would be great for the role and I should apply. I applied and it took her a week to get back to me about my application. Then to set up an interview I had to wait another week to talk to her. The same person, who asks me to apply, was also the same person I did the virtual call. She either did not recognize me or prepare for the interview at all (she asked how I found out about the position.) She only asked me 3 questions. No situational or character questions. She asked how I found out about the company and the role, why applied to another position in the company (which I found was not appropriate and was turned down from the role weeks ago), and what have I been doing with my time since I have been laid off. She cut me off midway through answering the last question.
She used the rest of the time just reading off stuff about the company and the role. I had the feeling she already didn't want me for the role, or she didn't want to be doing the interview. I just found her attitude to be really cold and rude. I admit my 1st impression of her was not great when she was 6 minutes late to our call. Which I get seems small, but when you have mentally prepared for an interview those 6 minutes of waiting and wondering can feel like an eternity
I interviewed at Blueground (Brasília, Federal District)
Interview
Not too difficult, First interview in portuguese, second interview in english.
All done remotely over the last week of December 2024. Took a couple of weeks to hear back because of the holiday season. All in all, easy process.
