The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Bollinger Connolly Krause (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2020
Interview
I had a decent interview with the first partner. It was thorough and helpful. I learned quite a bit about the company. I informed them I had other offers and I would need to know so my other offers did not expire. I was invited to interview in person several days later. I was not made aware who I would be interviewing with except for one or two partners. I show up and there are 5 partners. Some on zoom and some in person. It was hell. They all talked at once. One was pretty rude in person. It was just a mess. I bill and work more than most attorneys and it was a little insulting. I followed up to remind them that I have other options. They stated they wanted to go with the other candidate. Now they just posted the same position again a few hours ago. I wasn’t impressed. I was hoping they wouldn’t offer more than I asked so I could just decline any offer immediately. Glad they went back to the drawing board and didn’t waste anymore of my time.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bollinger Connolly Krause (Chicago, IL)
Interview
The process consists of a preliminary interview with a junior partner. The next step would be to get a second call to be invited for an interview with each of the two equity partners. These are done separately and may be done on different days depending on scheduling. After that, you may receive a phone call with the offer, which can be negotiated.
