I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Books-A-Million (Auburn, AL) in Sept 2015
Interview
i ran into a friend working in the cafe who told me they needed people for day shifts. she introduced me to the manager who set up a meeting with me a few days later. it was a very laid back meeting, and i was offered the job at the end of it.
The interview was great. We chatted a lot about books, which was a nice indicator to me that there was an emphasis on providing good customer service. Other questions were pretty run of the mill. Very normal retail interview. They also asked about my school schedule, so we could work out a work schedule.

Interview
Easy, basic questions. Anyone could pass it. Be honest and friendly And it's yours. Bring a current resume and a smile! Google good questions to ask the interviewer when it's all done.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Books-A-Million (Oak Ridge, TN) in Aug 2021
Interview
It was a very easy interview. It read like a conversation about topics I enjoy. No difficult questions, and the tone was very casual. I felt at ease, and the whole thing didn't last more than 10 minutes.
