I applied online. I interviewed at Borderfree (Pottstown, PA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Very short. A few emails and that was it. They offered a position. Not sure if I will accept. Seems like a decent at home job. They claim 10-12 hours a week.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Borderfree (Tel Aviv-Yafo)
Interview
Received a call from HR and scheduled an interview. On the interview day, I was entered into a room and had to do a java task for two hours. After that, I was told to wait until my code will be reviewed.
After an hour waiting finally, HR came to me to say that I didn't pass and I can go home.
It's a shame I couldn't talk to a manager about my test and understand my mistakes or talk about my design instead of just waiting for an hour. It was a waste of time and a bad treatment for newcomers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
you have 4 questions, where you receive a project written in java with spring, and the questions regarding fixing the failed tests and add new methods to the project.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Borderfree (Tel Aviv-Yafo)
Interview
First you do a hand written test (word doc) with questions about java, java8 and spring.
Afterwards you meet with the team leader. In my case it was Sharon, she questioned about my career and experience.
I must say the interview is stressful enough but the team leader was very unprofessional and rude. I hope for her that as a team leader she knows better how to present and say things to her employees.
With her attitude, I think it will take her a long time before she will find someone for her team.
