What are current and future faculty demographics? Pay rates? Type of appointments? Comparisons to the national levels?Are there issues involving academic freedom present in the state? Are there statewide union issues?
For biology PhD program, it usually had 2 virtual screen calls followed by the open house in person interviews with 3 faculties. During the open house, there will be a student-led seminar presentations where a selected group of grad students volunteered to present their work.
Emailed me for half an hour interview. Chat with a professor. Asked me five questions. Very causal. Told me they will make decision later, and told me I can contact the professor any time with questions.
