Interview
First was a preliminary phone interview, asking basic questions about your experience and why you are interested in the position. Then you do a performance task which is to edit an essay and write a paragraph about yourself. After that is an in person interview. I had it with two people, a manager and someone who is currently in the position. Early into the interview one of them gets a phone call and ignores it, but then picks up her phone and starts texting in the middle of the interview!! I was so shocked and immediately started feeling uncomfortable and that I wasn’t welcome there. This was probably the worst interview I’ve ever been to. The entire time, both people acted like they did not care at all what I had to say. It seemed as if their only job was to read questions off of the paper in front of them and take notes under each question. They barely reacted to what I was saying, rarely offered their own thoughts about my responses, rarely made eye contact because they were writing so many notes. Very bizarre. I’m glad I did not make it further because after the in person interview I saw what kind of people work at this place.
