I was sought out & encouraged to apply for this position when I had my position eliminated from the company I had been working for. A handful of BSG employees had previously worked for the employer who had just laid me of, so I was already off to a strong start in terms of networking and connection. I had 4 total interviews (1 HR screening call, 1 virtual with the hiring manager, 1 virtual with the hiring managers boss, and 1 in-person interview with two other marketing team members). The entire process from application to the final interview took about 2 weeks. I was pleased with how swiftly things were moving throughout the interviewing process, but once I was done, it took 3 weeks for me to hear the outcome of their decision. I went from having a very dynamic, responsive, ease of an interview process to stone cold silence. No acknowledgement when I checked in on the status of their decision. I was stunned by it all, and couldn't believe things went from being so enthusiastic for what I had to offer with my experience / background + what the company was looking for... to bleakness. I also asked for personable feedback after the hiring decision was made, thinking of how open things were before, but I was completely left in the dark. I was disappointed and sadden by the way this all went down.
