Dear Sindhuraa,
Thank you for sending that information. I've reviewed your qualifications and am excited to get started with the interview process!
I'll first give you a little more information about us and what it's like to work for BrightEdge.
We are a pre-IPO company with the leading SEO Enterprise platform. Our clients include some of the top companies, such as Microsoft, Apple, Target, Paypal, and Netflix, as well as the number one social networking site (for a list of our customers check out our website: www.brightedge.com). This is a great opportunity to step in at the early stages of a rapidly growing company.
BrightEdge is based in San Mateo, CA and is privately held with financing from Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures. BrightEdge is regularly featured in leading journals and magazines, such as TechCrunch, MarketWatch, and Business Insider. It was named in OnMedia 100 Top Private Companies in NYC. Check these and other recent press releases out on our website: http://www.brightedge.com/seo-press-releases.
Under the hood, we have patented methods and algorithms that utilize the latest technologies in distributed and cloud computing. We are looking for engineers that are hungry and passionate to join the core development team and build something special.
Let me also share with you the interview process:
(1) Flex your coding skills
The first step in the interview process is a coding assignment, to be completed in a 48-hour period. The assignment typically takes a couple of hours, but given the fact that your schedule is filled with other commitments, we provide a range of time to complete the assignment.
(2) Phone interview
Following the coding assignment, we will schedule a set of phone interviews. For these phone interviews, I highly recommend researching our company to be as prepared as possible. The best way to do this is by checking out our website, www.brightedge.com and our blog. In these phone interviews, there will be both technical and behavioral questions asked, but it is also a time for you to ask any questions that you have about the company and the position.
(3) In-House interview
For the last step in the interview process, you will be invited in-house to BrightEdge's headquarters in San Mateo, CA. It will be a full day session where you will get a chance to meet the team, visit the office, and spend one full working day with the engineering team. The idea behind the day is to experience how working days are spent with BrightEdge (early-stage startup). We want to make sure that you are comfortable with our team, and vice versa.
