Stage 1: Phone Screening
The first step is typically a phone screening with a recruiter. This interview is designed to assess your basic qualifications and interest in the role. You will be asked about your background, experience, and why you are interested in Google AI. If you are successful in the phone screening, you will be invited to the next stage of the interview process.
Stage 2: Technical Phone Interview
The technical phone interview is a more in-depth assessment of your technical skills. You will be asked about your knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and programming languages. You may also be asked to solve coding problems or design a system.
Stage 3: Onsite Interviews
If you are successful in the phone interviews, you will be invited to onsite interviews at Google's offices. The onsite interview process typically lasts two days and involves multiple interviews with engineers, researchers, and managers. You will be asked a variety of questions about your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit. You may also be asked to give a presentation or complete a take-home coding challenge.
