Interview
The process was lengthy but worthwhile. The senior managers who interviewed me asked to the point straightforward questions, asked about challenges at previous jobs, seemed compassionate, and gave a quick verdict! :)

The talent acquisition person had my resume but asked questions that could be found reading it. Questions such as my highest level of degree, my work status and my most recent job title. They launched into the required office work day vs work from home policy & abruptly changed course on salary requirements. When asked for the salary range I was told it was proprietary information. I was told the range might be between a few thrown out figures but that depended on various components- which again they have my resume. During my call I could hear ‘angry typing’ and the next day I was informed Oh from the angry typist from yesterday:
Thank you for your time yesterday. Unfortunately, the hiring team will not be moving forward at this time. Should anything change, I will be sure to let you know.
If you are offered the position we would need to have documentation to verify you were eligible for the bonus in order for us to determine your offer letter.

IT might work in some cases, but in many others, we are compromising on the integrity on the data and also frustrate the scientist who overseas such outsourced projects.
Being a large institution the process sometimes gets to bureaucratic. Decisions are not always based on sound scientific judgement. Sometimes, it feels like a dog eat dog world.
