Basically the interview didn't get off to a great start for me, the chap at the front desk gave me the wrong form to fill out, then said sorry gave me the correct form, as I was given the right form, one of the interviewees came up to me and said "have you not filled that in yet? come on hurry up" I was so shocked at how rude he was and this was really a bad first impression, apart from him though all the other interviewees were super friendly and warm. I then went to do the reach test with this mentioned chap, and a form about piercings and tattoos, Now I always thought honesty is the best policy. NO. I have a tiny tattoo that fits underneath my watch strap that no one sees and no one would have seen throughout my career with BA, but I mentioned I had it. They made quite a big deal over it, saying I would have to cover it with make up? under my watch strap? really? Some common sense now and again I think should be exercised. Basically Lie about tattoos, honesty is not the best policy and BA prefer to employ people who lie about them. I was asked to leave the interview process and I am 99% certain it was down to this. The interview lasted from 8:30am to 2:00pm, I completed 3 role plays all lasting around 30 minutes each, the rest of the time sat around waiting.
The job really appealed to me, and I had done the equivalent role at Virgin for over 10 years, but I just don't think BA's company culture is for me, so a positive outcome anyway, but good luck and I hope my tips help you!
