I set up a phone call to talk to one of the head engineers about what the company did, what my role would be, etc. After this phone call, and expressing further interest in the job, I set up a technical interview. BuildZoom used Karat, a third party interviewing service, so I got to choose nearly any time that worked for me. The technical interview lasted about an hour and later that week, a different engineer reached out to me to have another phone call. This phone call covered some high level programming questions and was also a chance for me to ask questions about the role.
