Question 1
How would you go about making a pricing model to price insurance
I had a great first chat with the recruitment person, she was friendly, informative and genuinely seemed to enjoy working for ByMiles. I was offered a second interview which was conducted by 2 people, it was formal and unfriendly and they simply asked me questions from a sheet. I was then ghosted altogether, despite being fully qualified for the role. Disappointing considering how they frame
Themselves as supporting mental health etc.

Lots of “give an example when” questions. Simple competency questions
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at By Miles in Sept 2021
Interview
After an initial call with HR, there was a culture and competency based interview with Head of Product and Head of Brand.
Second round was a case study task to present to the Head of Product followed by a chat with the Lead Engineer.
It’s clear there’s strong values and good company culture. The interviewers were friendly and gave good insight into the company. The only negative was that the process was a bit long and I was kept waiting for a while after the final interview.
