1st calls was with recruiter - a really nice and engaging call
2nd call was with two of the team members. It felt it was a tick box exercise. It didn’t seem that they know what they were doing, zero engagement or smiles, had no idea about the interview structure after, etc. They called it exploration call but it was far from that - no engagement, no interest showed in me as a person, some strange questions irrelevant to the industry and my experience. In addition to this, their external HR consultant joined the call which was a bit strange! If a consultant joins a call then I’d expect basics of interviewing people. The overall experience was they have no idea what they are doing and what they require.

Question 1
Irrelevant strange questions - didn’t make sense. Also one of the questions was about ER but then again they have an external HR consultant for that. If there is such a focus on ER - it most likely there is something really wrong with the culture.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Byfield Consultancy (London, England)
Interview
It was fine. They were friendly and they asked reasonable questions - some were harder / more challenging. They were fast in their response and explained the next stages well.
