I was initially contacted by a Human Resources representative for a phone interview who then set up an in person interview with a manager. During the interview they kept telling me negative things like how it was a “babysitting” job because all of the photographers were so young and sometimes didn’t show up for assignments. Even though I was interviewing for a management position at a specific location he told me during interview that I would also be managing a second location in another county and would have to travel there twice a week. They also kept asking me if I was “scared” of the job yet. The final inappropriate question was “How would I feel about working with such a young group?” I am a professional with a solid background so not sure why interviewer thought it was ok to ask that. They took me on a tour of the location and I was shown a big table in an equipment room that was a shared space and told that would be my workspace. I could go on…I contacted HR and asked them to withdraw my application after the interview.
