      News Reporter Interview

      8 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CNET (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2019

      Interview

I had an initial 30 min call with a recruiter, then two interviews with those who would be my bosses. Then I got to enjoy silence for more than two weeks and since I was sick of chasing down the recruiter by that point, I checked in with one of the interviewers. The position had gone to an internal candidate after all. I quite liked the two people I'd have worked with; I did feel the recruiter often forgot about me and I'm not sure if that's because she's located elsewhere, or because she already knew the internal candidate would likely get it? In the end I felt burned out by the silence and process, as much as I think I'd have enjoyed working here. They do seem quite talented and great to boot.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Regular experience questions, and a few silly CBS Interactive psychology questions. Like "how did you overcome a struggle at work" kind of things.
