Interview
The hiring manager was awesome. He took me to a lunch to know me better, discuss briefly in general my long term professional goals. He gave an overview of the company and provided insights of the position's requirement and the timetable for the formal 1:1 interview. My formal interview is from 2 AE directors and one senior AE a couple of weeks later. The interviewers were very cordial, respectful and welcoming in every way and most of all very professional. I got a call from HR and they sent me an offer letter a week later and sent me on-line links to accomplish for my formal hiring. The entire process was very easy. Day one, I was assigned a "buddy" to walk me through my first few months in Cadence. Every one in the department were honest to goodness very warm and welcoming. People would stop by the office either just to say hi and offer help in case I needed assistance. Felt at home the first day!

Easy process for an experienced engineer. I was asked standard questions on behavioral and of course on technical questions on semiconductor manufacturing and latest state of the art tools in the EDA space.

Process started with a referral from an employee. Conducted a 2:1 phone interview with the hiring manager and principal team member. Followed up with an on-site interview with 4 other senior team members. The following day the team had a round-table wrap-up to make their hiring recommendation. The day after I received a verbal offer. Very smooth process.

The entire interview process was over the phone. Went on for a week. Received feedback by the end of the week with an offer. Negotiated over the next week to bump it up a bit. The hiring team along with the recruiter were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.
