I had a first round interview that I thought went really well. They then told me I’d be doing an assessment over Zoom to test my skills, which would cover basic Excel and Python. Since that was what they told me specifically, that’s what I prepared for. However, when I got to the assessment (which was live on Zoom with my interviewers), they asked me questions about SQL instead. I thought this was unfair since I asked multiple times what I should prepare for and SQL was never a part of that. On top of that, once the interview was over, I received ZERO response or feedback from them ever (and the interview was months ago), despite them being responsive and enthusiastic beforehand. I’m pretty disappointed with their lack of communication and respect for someone interviewing during a pandemic as a recent grad, which is hard enough as it is.
