I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Calico Cottage (New York, NY)
Interview
The process, using an outside interviewing company, was very impersonal with a very robotic interviewer asking very odd behavioral questions and saying that there were people from he company listening in on the phone but never introducing them. For a high level role, it was odd not to have the interviewer not ask about experience or skillsets versus just very typical situational questions. I think that for a company that specializes in helping people create revenue in their retail locations with a "happy product" (fudge), they should be much more upbeat, customer friendly sounding and positive in their interactions with potential candidates. The company needs to "sell" candidates on the opportunities not have obtuse questions that are off-putting.
Nice people, respectful. The interview process is ok but requires a bit of work. They limit the assignment to two hours, but to complete it appropriately, it will take double the time - unless you use tools to help your efficiency, like A.I. Typically working 10-12 hour days in current role, more scheduling options would have been appreciated as well as feedback on any shortcomings (for those of us with a growth mindset).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many questions to uncover how you would handle client dissatisfaction and what you would do to improve (process, communication, etc.).
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Calico Cottage (Amityville, NY) in Apr 2019
Interview
Overly complicated and intense interview process. Needed to take aptitude tests, speak with an external screener, interview with potential colleagues, interview with the boss and then the company owner. Also had a pretty extensive project.
