I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Calix in Jan 2017
Interview
Phone interview. 30 minutes. Discussion about my past experience and desires for new position. The recruiter was very friendly and asked me to continue to look at their "careers site" and contact him directly if there was a position I wanted to apply for.

I applied online. I interviewed at Calix (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Long drawn out process, several Zoom calls, several trips to the building, zoom calls with my “direct reports” all were very well skilled behavior interviewers (definitely a set-up). Recruiter kept it warm and fuzzy constantly calling while during every interaction was a MEAT-GRINDER. I was the meat.
