Interview
August 2- somebody from South Carolina in charge of talent acquisition cold messaged me about the role on Linked In. I applied, made contacts with local employees and actually spoke with somebody in charge of sales at the local branch. This person was eager to fill the role, as that they were the only one generating business for the branch and had other duties to attend to. Apparently two other candidates had been disqualified for reasons they couldn't discuss. August 7 - having already applied and sent availability for an interview per the instructions from the person in South Carolina, I never heard back, so I contacted them again. Was scheduled for an interview the following week. August 12- phone interview with the person in South Carolina. Went well, and I was eager to hear back, but I was ghosted at this point (others have shared this same experience on Glassdoor). August 27- left South Carolina a voicemail asking for an update. No response. August 28 - reached out on Linked In. My message was viewed immediately, so I sent another two. Both times my messages were viewed within one minute, but no response was given. I disconnected on Linked In. Minutes later, South Carolina emailed to apologize, and said he'd talk to the branch the next day and give me an update. September 16- still no update 19 days later, I messaged my contact at the local branch to ask if they'd ever filled the role. "Hi, we did. Thanks for checking back."
