Candor Technology interview questions

Interview was a 3-step process, meeting with a recruiter, member of the engineering team, and CEO in that order. The engineer asked standard interview questions, such as what is an API and what my skillset entails. Pretty standard stuff. The CEO asked about my racial/ethnic background and what my life goals were. He left in the middle of my interview to go talk to landscapers he hired. Overall a strange experience with that last interview. Company ended up ghosting me.
