The interview process was an odyssey. All the messages exchanged were automated, and I believe that the recruited didn't write a single word during the whole process. They asked me to go through a series of tests, including a written interview that went all the way back to my primary school. - The written interview resulted in a 4000-word essay after tens of hours of dedicated work. I had to answer tens of questions from how I performed in high school, to what my work experience is in detail and whatnot. - Then I had to do a technical test, for which I had 2 hours and 25 minutes to finish. The test had two parts, multiple-choice questions and solving some algorithms in JS. - Then they asked me to take an aptitude test, about 40 minutes After I finished all of the above successfully, I received an automated reply just saying that there are better fits for the role without receiving any feedback. Overall, I feel that the whole process was too long, tiresome, and only benefited Canonical.
