Canopy reached out to me and asked me to interview. I got on an initial call with one of their project managers to talk about Canopy and the position. I then had a culture fit call with the mobile engineering team. They gave me a take home Android app to complete and return. Then there was a tech interview with the mobile team and we went through the take home code challenge I submitted and they asked questions. Then HR called me and talked to me. During the technical interview they talked about how it was really likely I was going to get an offer. When HR called they said someone wanted to make an offer the next day. Then I got a call from someone I never even talked to and was told I wasn't excited enough about the position and wasn't a culture fit... Apparently the culture fit interview wasn't really a culture fit interview? Don't waste your time interviewing unless you eat, breath and dream about tax software I guess.
