I interviewed at Canyon State Electric (Phoenix, AZ)
Interview
I was scheduled for a brief phone interview. At the scheduled time, no one reached out. I waited, sent a check-in email, and followed up again after the meeting window passed. I never received any response or acknowledgment.
The lack of communication made the experience feel disorganized and unprofessional. Candidates put time and effort into preparing, and at minimum, you expect the recruiting team to communicate if plans change. Unfortunately, that didn’t occur in this case.

Interview
Applied online and was contacted to do a brief phone interview, followed by an assigned online skills assessment. The interviewer was late, rude, distracted, told me they didn't have time for this interview, cut me off, and made the loudest, most distracting and unprofessional clacking sound with their fake nails on their keyboard throughout my entire interview (I could barely hear them speak over the clack.) They seemed to be reading a script and seemed extremely annoyed to have to make these calls. The online skill assessment was bespoke to the position and although I have years of experience, the answers to some questions would be apparent after a single day of getting to know how the leader likes to operate. Instead, they wanted the candidate to have ESP. I didn't hear back and had to follow up. I was told they filled the position, but it is still posted. Although the assessment online was kind of fun to take, having a professional interviewer would go much further in finding a good fit. Their approach reeked of retaliatory interviewing (like they felt they were wronged in the past and they were going to beat out any bad candidates, instead of trying to find good ones.) Gave the impression of an immature corporate environment.

Question 1
They spoke most of the time and didn't really ask me any questions. The online skills assessment was easy, but was like a blind "guess my favorite color" style of questions. Example: "if I had a 30 minute meeting at 3 and a parent teacher meeting 20 minutes away at 3:45, what would you do?"

Interview
This is the worst company I've ever experienced in regards to the interview process. I was sent me an email to make an appointment with online, which I did for a couple days out. I received a total of 8 emails after confirming the appointment then reminding me a day before, an hour before, 10 minutes before and then - no call. I finally received a call an HOUR later when I'm no longer on a break at work so extremely unprofessional. I was asked 3 questions and told i needed to take an online test and then I've scheduled for a live interview the following week. I took the THREE tests required on Test Gorrilla later that day - they were 20 minutes each so an HOUR of testing - Customer Service, Business Analyst, and Office 365. These are PROCTORED tests - you have to have your camera on the entire time and are not supposed to switch screens. I had to switch screens for a second in the beginning because the test uses voice/sound and my sound was turned all the way down because i was on break at work. However, I scored in the top 2% (98th percentile) on customer service, top 25% Business Analyst, and top 10% for Office 365 administration. The business analyst test was asking extremely specific questions using industry jargon only a SME Business Analyst would know - this has NOTHING to do with being an IT Manager. Regardless I still scored well on all the tests and emailed the company the next day asking about the interview.....ghost...nothing, I followed up the following week....ghost nothing...then I get a generic email saying i was not selected to move forward. Thanks for being extremely unprofessional and wasting hours of my time for no reason. I have a Masters Degree and 20 years experience, scored in the top 10% of both relevant tests, but not even an interview....
