Interview
Where do I begin?
Was waiting in the reception of a dilapidated office for almost an hour. So many other applicants I felt like I was at a Hollywood casting audition.
Finally, I was called into a small, dark, windowless room for a five-minute 'interview' (aka - a sales pitch, complete with the empty business jargon and vague generic business terminology this company is infamous for. No description of the role I applied for - no mention of pay, working hours, progression.
I was back in the lobby within five minutes. I'm not joking.
They said they'd be in touch later if I was selected as a top applicant - where one has to come in for a training day (mine was 8.30 the following morning, thanks for the short notice). I later discovered through Glassdoor that this training day is UNPAID and the job is 100% COMMISSION with NO PROGRESSION.
In short, the 'Events' in the company name refer to kiosks they set up in shopping centres, streets, etc, and the 'Marketing' is selling products to annoyed Londoners.
Waste of time - do not bother.

Very poor experience with the company. Arrived early to be handed a form which requested you to write down your goals and previous experience. I found this odd as I had provided my resume on Linked In and have never had to do so before. The office seemed very frantic and disorganised with employees running around/ dancing and going in and out. Also to my horror I was swarmed by other graduates waiting to interview too (at least 5/6 were sitting waiting). Once it was my time to be interviewed I was brought into a dark, windowless room and met the director who on my email was described as just a manager which I found odd. I was asked roughly 5 questions extremely quickly and then told I would be called to come in the next morning for a half day assessment if successful. After further researching online and discovering the job was commission based only and reading all the other terrible reviews I declined the offer to return. I would advise to do your research and stay clear unless because they seem to mislead you a lot about what the role includes and only discuss the fact you will become a manager. Very odd experience!

The job is 100% sales based and requires you to go to public places to try and get people to buy services for specific company, which in my case would have been shell energy. The job is 12 hours a day and is 100% COMMISSION.
Im actively looking for jobs since graduating in marketing. The background info on the application state vague things like ‘Our service means that we bring our clients brands to life through exciting marketing methods‘. I knew it didn’t specify what I would be doing, and felt a bit dubious about the mention of sales in the ad, but was keen to get some interview experience and scope the job further.
Within an hour of applying, I was invited to an interview, then was emailed to say I had been successful for the next round which was an observation half day.
