I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CaptionCall (Detroit, MI) in Sept 2021
Interview
I had to complete a internet test, a call repeating test, and I talked to a hiring manager. I had to do the call test twice, because I got a 92% when passing is 93% correct.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CaptionCall (Columbus, OH) in Nov 2021
Interview
Met with someone on Teams, who checked my computer specs, internet speed, and had me take a typing test. After about 15 min I met with someone who demonstrated captioning a live call, then let me do a couple practice runs before doing two recorded assessments. It's more difficult than I thought it'd be, trying to repeat what someone is saying while they're talking, but I got a passing score so I moved onto the next step.
After about 10 minutes of waiting I spoke with a manager, who went over the training schedule and permanent schedule (I picked full time). She asked a few basic questions, then said if I was chosen I'd receive an offer letter in an email.
I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CaptionCall (Overland Park, KS) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied for both English and Spanish. I Applied on the website, they sent me an email to select an interview date, got an interview to check the tech stuff and got tested in typing and speech. I passed with 47 wpm, and need 93% on the speech test to pass.
