I went through an interview after passing through CV and cover letter. The interview mainly consisted of my coursework in International Relations including economics and politics. The interviewer also asked some economic terms to see if I understand macroeconomic knowledge.

Can you show us your interest in economic policies? What are the most recent phenomena in economy that deserve attention?

Straightforward, 2 interviews, one with main director, one with supervisor. Just be well abreast on your area of study-- for example, I was asked in detail about US-China relations and a summit that had just occurred.

Interview
They rescheduled the interview the morning of to an earlier time. When the interviewer called, he seemed uninterested and unprepared, and I was only asked one question. After talking for about 10 minutes and trying to engage in conversation we ended the call. Got an email 2 weeks later that I did not get the position.
