My recent interview experience was frustrating and unprofessional due to disorganization and lack of respect for candidates’ time.
The HR initially informed me my resume had been shortlisted and scheduled a first-round interview, which they said would cover HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Surprisingly, the interview instead focused on React, with two coding tasks: one on flattening nested objects and another to build a React card component with navigation and selection features. I completed both well and moved to the next round.
For the second round, the HR told me they’d send a meeting link for the following Monday. When Monday passed with no link, I reached out, only to be told they’d “forgotten” to send it and asked if I could take the interview in half an hour. I requested an hour to prepare, and they rescheduled for the next day. This was not only unprofessional but also showed a disregard for candidates’ preparation and time.
In the second round, I was tasked with building a sidebar component using recursion, which I completed confidently. However, just two hours after the interview, I received a message saying I was not selected. I attempted to follow up with HR for feedback, calling multiple times, but my calls were ignored. There was no transparency, no courtesy, and ultimately no respect for the time and effort I had put in.
This experience reflects poorly on Cashfree Payments’ recruitment process. I would advise future candidates to confirm every detail of the process proactively, as the communication and organization from their end was disappointing and unprofessional.
