Interview
I applied through the company website for the position as a staff accountant for the new regional headquarter in Tucson. It took about two weeks before I was invited for a phone interview with the recruiting team in Peoria. The phone interview took about 30 minutes to complete. The questions were basically behavior type of questions regarding leadership, communication, team building, and initiatives. You had to answer them in a STAR format. I passed the phone interview and I was schedule for an in person interview. I had a month to prepare and wanted to nailed it. They informed me that the interview would take three and a half hour to complete. On the day of the interview, I had do a resume presentation and interview with three people, one hour each and all asking the same question I had with the phone interview. Again it was in STAR format. Overall, the interviewers were nice and explained everything about the company, the culture, etc.

It was for hourly pay entry level staff accountant position. A staffing agency contacted me and I interviewed for it. They were hiring for corporate accounting and management accounting. The interview lasted about 20 minutes and they only asked behavioral questions. It was a virtual interview with two of the team members who were hiring.

STAR Format Interview process, Interview panel, standard interview, over a month to hear back from Caterpillar. Over Microsoft Teams which didn't not work during the initial interview. Are we at 30 words yet?
