      Manager Interview

      31 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Centene

      Interview

Fairly typical process with four rounds. It unfortunately began with a pre-recorded/one-way interview, which felt lazy. Made it through the rounds but was rejected by an automatic Workday email rather than the recruiter who I’ve been interacting with throughout the process after reaching out to them for an update. Felt less than personal overall.

      Question 1

What’s your experience in healthcare? How do you feel about being an individual contributor with a manager title?

      Interview

The overall process took about a month from when I applied. There are technically 4 rounds of interviews; the first is just with a recruiter to cover background. Then you interview with the different leaders you’d be working with. They look for honesty and STAR method when answering questions. Also be prepared to speak to your full resume.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Centene in Feb 2026

      Interview

The interview request came within 5 days after I applied for the position thru Linkedin. I was interviewed first by Centene's Recruitment Advisor. The first thing she did was to lowball on the offer range and throw me half of the bonus that was advertised - not sure how a recruitment advisor is empowered with lowballing salary/bonus range against the advertised range, even before starting the interview process. I had 2 rounds of interview. All the interviewers were really nice. After each round of interview, I shared thank you emails with the same recruitment advisor, but to my surprise, she never cared to reply to send a confirmation that those thank you notes have been shared. After two weeks I followed up and one of the coordinators replied that there will be email from the advisor lady. I understood that there won't be none. I finally got an automated rejection email once the position was filled out. My concern is how this advisor handled the lowballing and communication (rather zero communication). If a fortune 50 company lets a recruitment advisor play the number game ever before the interview process started - you are bound to loose good candidates. For the communication part - please understand that when somebody is interviewing - they are going thru a life changing process. A bit of communication would help them, always!
