I went through an initial phone screening, assignment, hiring manager interview, panel discussion, and they called my references. I was not selected for the role. It was a lot of work on my end. It was also around the holidays. It would have been very disheartening if I didn’t understand the industry and space right now. I wish CEO the best. If you are a job seeker, remember that the Nonprofit sector is also undergoing a lot of undoing around DEI and prioritizing hiring skilled people who are impacted by the issues. Bring this up often and continue fighting to be in position and have your voices heard as impacted leadership continues to decrease. Best of luck!
