1. 30 Min. call with a recruiter.
2. 30 Min. video call with the hiring manager. Mainly talking about MEDDPICC process and experience.
3. Talk with a future AE co-worker and see if you're a cultural fit.
4. Talk with a future SE co-worker and see how you have had experience with other SE and how you vibe together.
5. Not too sure after the first four, as I only made it to the second part and didn't make it past.
I got to the first interview because I had a mutual connection within the company (if you want to get interviewed, find an AE on Linkedin and build a connection and ask for a referral). It's not what you know (well, it is to get the job), it's who you know (to get your foot in the door).
I unfortunately botched the second interview and did not articulate the process of how I accomplished things in my previous role. I really hope these questions help future candidates prepare to interview with this company, as it would be a great place to work. I take full responsibility for not getting past the second interview.
Also, I did not hear back from the recruiter, so I had to follow-up to make sure the second interview got scheduled. They were very fast in responding, so don't hesitate to reach out to them. The recruiter mentioned that there were about 12k applicants for the entire company and about 500-600 for the SMB AE role.
Make sure to really practice your STAR method for the questions below.
There was one recruiter question I remember, but they had about two others. I think they were about why did I want to work there, etc.. Below for the questions, there is one recruiter one and the rest are from the hiring manager interview. I have answers below, but please do think of ways that could really persuade them on why you're the right fit based on the questions below. I didn't get passed the second interview, so I would really recommend getting connected with someone internally, and seek out exactly who they are looking for.
Best of luck!
