I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Charles Schwab in Apr 2022
Interview
So after 1 month of emailing PMs, I finally got connected with a hiring manager. The manager told me that he wanted to talk to me and so, I emailed him my availability. Next day, I got an email from the recruiter asking me about my availability and I was like why are u asking me this when the hiring manager is ready to talk with me.
Anyways, I told her that I am available on Thursday, Friday and so on. She called me on Wednesday morning and asked me if i can talk. I told her that I woke up just now to pick this call and can she call me after sometime or on the scheduled day. She was adamant about it and I had to answer questions. I was not in a frame of mind to answer why this job and why this company. I just winged it and by the end of it I knew that I am screwed. Then she told me sarcastically that i will be judged based on the answers that I gave.
This was such a bad experience and I had never experienced it with any company, be it big or small. Wth is wrong with people? I was thinking of messaging the hiring manager about what had happened but idk if it will do anything.
PS: i looked at the recruiter's linkedin and she is on a contract position for 3 months in this company. Idk, maybe she is trying to complete her quota or whatever. But the bottomline is I am not getting the interview with the hiring manager.

I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Greenwood Village, Arapahoe, CO)
Interview
First interview with HR as a screen. Second with hiring manager. Straight forward questions and the screening questions were what you would expect for a fintech company. They take great pride in their culture and demonstrate it in practice.
