I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2010
Interview
I was first contacted by email by a recruiter and asked to do a phone interview the next day. I was available and scheduled the interview which turned out to be about 30 minutes. This apparently was a phone screen with the recruiter who then scheduled me for an in-person interview with two hiring managers one week later. This interview went well and was pretty standard: a quick review of employment history, bundle of behavioral interview questions, and time to ask questions about the company. I was told that I would be contacted within 48 hours which never happened.
The entire interview was such a long process, took a month after phone interview to get the second interview. After the second interview it took a whole month again to get back with their decision to move on with another candidate.
Easy, they made it smooth, phone into meeting 2 guys in person. Ask general questions to get to know you. All behavioral questions. Phone interview is only 10-15 minutes. in person was around 45-60 minutes.
Straight forward phone screening interview then longer behavioral interview. Focused a lot on customer service experiences. Wanted to know how I handled conflict and difficult clients. Interviewers were very nice and engaging.
